The 151-key Hyatt Regency Malta has opened in the seaside town of St. Julian’s.

“We are thrilled to announce the opening of the first Hyatt-branded in Malta, an archipelago rich in historic architecture and quickly becoming one of the most sought-after destinations for business and leisure travel,” said Mark Vella, the property’s manager. “Hyatt Regency Malta provides both leisure and business travellers with energizing experiences, all while maintaining the high standards of the responsible and empathetic service for which the Hyatt Regency brand is known.”

The property is an easy 20-minute drive from Malta International Airport and the UNESCO World Heritage City of Valetta, the capital of Malta. Located on Triq Sqaq Lourdes in the center of St. Julian’s, it is within walking distance of the beach on St. George’s Bay and many of the town’s bars and restaurants.

Its 151 rooms include 11 suites (400+ square feet) and one ambassador suite (nearly 600 square feet). Each guestroom has floor-to-ceiling windows or a balcony, giving guests a view of the sea or Saint Rita Square. They also feature a generous workspace with a cozy chair and charging station and modern bathroom.

Three dining options are available on the property. Seed is a unique farm-to-fork eatery specializing in Mediterranean flavours and local ingredients. It overlooks the historical Augustinian priory. Thyme is set just off the hotel’s lobby. It offers day-long dining, morning coffee, premier snacks and cocktails. GIN-ger is the property’s rooftop poolside bar and restaurant. It offers a beautiful view of St. George’s Bay and the open sea.

In addition, the hotel has 1,572 square feet of flexible meeting, event and exhibition space; a Hyatt StayFit gym with state-of-the-art cardio and strength training equipment; and a spa with three treatment rooms.

The hotel is the Hyatt Regency brand’s 26th property in Europe, all of which operate using Hyatt’s multi-layered Global Care & Cleanliness Commitment.
